Frankincense Oil
Product Description: This tree is known to grow in the Middle East. Boswellia sacra trees are considered unusual for their ability to grow in environments so unforgiving that they sometimes grow out of solid rock. The initial means of attachment to the rock is unknown, but is accomplished by a bulbous disk-like swelling of the trunk. Frankincense is tapped from the scraggy but hardy trees by slashing the bark. Tapping is done two to three times a year with the final taps producing the best tears due to their higher aromatic terpene, sesquiterpene and diterpene content. Clove Oil
The clove tree is a small evergreen tree (Syzygium aromaticum or Eugenia caryophyllata) of the family Myrtaceae (myrtle family) and for its unopened flower bud, an important spice. Cloves are commercially harvested primarily in Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania. Clove contains a number of volatile oils, the most significant of which is eugenol that comprises up to 90% of the total oil produced by the plant. It is extracted primarily from clove buds, though it can also be extracted from the leaves of the clove tree as well. The fruit matures approximately nine months after flowering. The long red ovary of the flower gradually turns a reddish-purple and swells to the size of an olive, but is more oblong in shape with the sepals covering where the flower once was. The fruit contains one, or rarely two, seeds and is often referred to as the โmother of clovesโ. Cultivated clove trees are rarely allowed to reach fruiting stage.
