Part of the old covenant was tithing to the house of God.
The actual house of God as in the tabernacle and later what became the Temple that Solomon built. The presence of God literally dwelt in the Holy of Holies.
The tithes and offerings ensured the levites, priest and temple workers were provided for in God’s house.
Why you do not find tithing to the temple in the NT?
Rather a command to give cheerfully…
Give to who?
Whoever needs it.
Widows, orphans, a struggling mom etc.
We are the temple under the new covenant.
There is no longer a “temple” with God’s habitation to bring tithes and offerings into.
How did the church ⛪️ operate in Acts? 😉
Go read the true model of how the church (us!) is supposed to operate.
If you break free from the lies you’ve been told and actually study the Word, you will see 99% of what you’ve been told isn’t accurate.
Ps. The Bible teaches the body of Christ is the church.
The Ekklesia.
Holy Spirit came to indwell us and we became the temple of God.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God's glory.
So is the building the house of God or is the BODY the house of God? 😉
Is the building just a place the house (body/church) of God meets in? Like they would at a house or a tent? 😉
See, pastors keep telling you that you are now the temple/ the house of God yet they tell you to tithe into the house of God. 🤣🥴
That’s utter nonsense.
Literally.
Unelected and unaccountable bureacrats are ruling the American citizens without their consent. They reject the separation of powers and replace the rule of law with faceless regulatory agencies. It is time to to end this, and return the USA to We the People.
