Lip Service

I would say, “Like nails on the chalkboard,
So is one who misquotes the Scriptures in ignorance!”
Yes, you can quote me on that one since it is truth,
Where people nowadays are so in tune with deception,
That someone like biden can really say with conviction,
“The truth and the facts are irrelevant!” And you believe.
The best way I can describe today’s generation is this:
Lip service, “You honor Me with your lips, but your heart
Your heart is far from Me, you refuse to obey My Word!”
But then, of course, you will protest, “But I read the Bible!”
Maybe you do, but do you hear the Words in your heart?
Do you actually listen when you read, hear and obey?
This is the difference between one who has faith in God,
And someone who was raised in the traditions of men
They have no substance to their faith in the unknown,
It will remain like this as long as lip service is their game.
Funny how you are so enamored with a whistle blower,
And yet a watchman stands and the tower and warns you,
“Your apostasy will not last forever, you will be judged!”
However, you lip service remains as you get angry,
Feeling justified you say, “You are being judgmental!”
I think it is being called pragmatic, but please, go ahead,
Your lip service can be heard in the word that you speak.
So, pray tell, where do you stand in all of this lip service?
I quote, “When you do such things, should I stay silent?
You may have thought I was just like you; [think about that],
But I will rebuke and indict you to your faces!” Says God.
When you say you believe, show me your beliefs when you,
Well, when you speak, do not be so disingenuous!
