Italy: 4 times more deaths from Pfizer shot than AstraZeneca
It is not true that Pfizer's vaccine is safer than the others. Data from the Italian Agency for Medicines (AIFA) show exactly the opposite, writes the Italian newspaper Il Tempo .
A report dated May 26 mentions 213 deaths from the Pfizer vaccine. In Italy 58 people died after receiving the Moderna vaccine, 53 after AstraZeneca and 4 after Janssen. In total that is 328 deaths. In the Netherlands there are so far 381 reports of death.
Stop on AstraZeneca jab at 60 unders
People under the age of 60 are no longer being vaccinated with AstraZeneca in Italy after the death of 18-year-old Camilla Canepa last Thursday. She got the shot on May 25 and died due to blood clots.
Her death and other cases of thrombosis are currently under investigation in Italy. This week, a man from Apulia ended up in hospital with severe blood clots.
Doubts grow
And while some people are preparing for the second from Pfizer or Moderna after the first dose of AstraZeneca, doubts about Pfizer and Moderna are now also growing, the paper said.
