On our night walk we found a nest of 2 baby birds in a stump on the outside crevice. Not sure what kind of bird these were an why they were more in the open on the outside of the stump instead of down in a hole an protected. They were very young. Probably 3weeks cause you could tell they just got their feathers an color in. They looked like a great horned owl with the color an markings on the back but the tail was about 2inches long an slender. Was solid brownish red to. So dont think they were owls due to the shape an length of tail. Going back tomorrow to make sure they are ok an figure out exactly what kind they are to be sure they are in a good spot and possibly not left beside or abandoned. Very odd how they were on the outside of the stump. They were not protected at all an to young to survive on their own.
who here has already deleted their Facebook? im having a hard time 😕
