NEW - At the direction of owner Mark Cuban, the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks have stopped playing the U.S. national anthem before home games this season and do not intend to play it for home games moving forward.
It's the first instance of a pro sports team striking the U.S. anthem from the pre-game.
