Tamzin Merchant Talks About Daenerys Targaryen, Emilia Clarke, and GOT
Tamzin Merchant, who was the first choice to play the iconic role of Daenerys Targaryen, and who even shot an unreleased pilot of Season 1, has shared her thoughts about the failed pilot, the character, and the show in general.
The actress now wishes that she hadn’t been a part of it all and if she had listened to her instincts at that time, she would indeed not have accepted the role.
Tamzin Merchant, who is also known for the series “The Tudors,” has also praised GOT actress Emilia Clarke for making the character an iconic iteration.
Tamzin Merchant was the one to play the role of Daenerys Targaryen; however, the pilot she shot was dumped by HBO, and now she has revealed that the production of the pilot was a nightmare for her and regrets accepting the role.
She was cast as the Mother of Dragons in a pilot that was shot and failed in 2009 and said that from the outset, she had a deep intuition that the whole show was not for her to be involved in.
Merchant has become honest about her memories in her latest conversation with Entertainment Weekly and has shared that being a part of the production team for the pilot was a tremendous lesson for her. She did promise herself that she would listen to her gut feeling after that mishap, and she even tried to move away from everything, but she was brought into the mix of things by some people who knew how to convince.
The star of the show “The Tudors,” was just 21 years old when she did her bit as Daenerys Targaryen. She has acted in several projects since then, which includes “Salem,” “Carnival Row,” and “Supergirl.” She has also kick-started her writing career with a fantasy novel (from the young adult genre) titled “The Hatmakers.”
She became a part of the cast in Morocco and certainly did not feel included. She jokingly said in the interview that even the horse she was riding in Morocco looked more excited than her.
Merchant further added that she still has fresh memories of the scenes she shot for the wedding night scene, which ultimately had to be cut down in the actual version of the pilot.
Merchant added that though she was not a trained actor at that time, she did have her instincts with her, and what really motivates her to be a part of the project is an interesting story and an engrossing character and for her, Game of Thrones was not of her likings regardless of what others feel about it. And, by saying that, she also remarked that the success of Game of Thrones has had speaks volumes about Emilia Clarke’s capabilities as an actor and interest in the whole saga. And as far as she is concerned, Game of Thrones was definitely a mistake.
She never had the heart and sentiments required to be able to pull off a character like Daenerys Targaryen.
She did receive criticisms at that time; however, it must be notified that even David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have received heaps of criticism for the way they ended the story of Mother of Dragons. Perhaps, it was George R. R. Martin’s fault the entire time. He should have written the novels first.

Cells At Work!! Season 2’s Has More Adorable Platelets To Heal More Wounds
Cells At Work!! kicks off with a new season in the series, and it’s time for some cute and adorable platelets to heal our wounds again.
Note: The following contains spoilers for Cells At Work!! Season 2, Episode 1.
Cells At Work!! is undoubtedly the most precious show about human biology. Especially the personification of human platelets, which are responsible for creating blood clots to stop bleeding. Cells At Work!! is the exaggerated representation of cells in human biology, and they are represented by human-like characters that perform different tasks as their day-to-day job.
The first season featured many wholesome characters, including white blood cells, red blood cells, and the adorable platelets. What made Cells At Work!! successful is the character design of young platelets represented by cute kindergarten children, carrying blood clot material, and wearing side tote bags. The show instantly became a hit, and its success gave the creators enough confidence to release a sequel for the 2021 anime list.
Cells At Work!! Season 2 walkthrough
The second season starts with a newly recruited platelet who struggles to keep up with the rest of the team. While the platelet is new to the job, his constant effort to help other body cells is adorable. White Blood Cell U-1146 is the tall and handsome guy that every Red Blood Cell wants to talk with, but since their job requires them to be on patrol 24/7, the cute and friendly Red Blood Cell AE3803 is unable to meet him. Backward-Cap, a young platelet, makes the situation awkward as his clumsiness makes White Blood Cell alarmed about a false crime scene. This situation reminds White Blood Cell U-1146 of his encounter with AE3803 when she got lost inside the human body and asked for his help. Backward-Cap is the new trainee who happens to be lost in the same manner as AE3803. Backward-Cap meets White Blood Cell U-1146, who again helps him get back to his platelet team.
In an attempt to get stronger, Backward-Cap trains alone to overcome his agile psyche as among the platelet team’s old members, he is the only one that lacks strength and speed. The adorable naive kid tries his best to overcome his failure and decides to carry twice the amount of coagulation factors. Upon hearing about Backward-Cap’s resolve, U-1146 tells him that his determination will inspire other platelets to work even harder.
The perfect episode
A large wound disrupts the cells’ working and stirs up an earthquake-like situation, making the red blood cells lose their grounds. The earthquake shakes the cells’ world, and strangely enough, the red blood cells hold the wound and call for platelets to help with the recovery. U 1146 takes Backward-Cap to the emergency wound, and they find out that the body received a massive injury on the head. The platelets quickly came for the rescue and laid out a temporary blood clot to stop the bleeding. Backward-Cap comes into panic as he is unable to make enough blood clots to stop the bleeding. Simultaneously, megakaryocytes, a large bone marrow cell responsible for platelets’ production, yells at them for being incompetent.
It becomes clear by now that the megakaryocytes tactic of yelling at the platelets is not working as the platelets stop working out of fear, and Backward-Cap freezes in time. Megakaryocytes come with another tactic by promising a gold medal to all the platelets to stop the hemorrhage. With the idea of a gold medal in their mind, the young platelets form a temporary blood clot to stop the bleeding. At the end of the mission, the last coagulation falls, and Backward-Cap jumps to save the coagulation. His teammates work together to save Backward-Cap from sinking deep into the body. Megakaryocytes get emotional by the team’s efforts and distribute gold medals to all the cells attributed to the mission.
Conclusion
The medium of Japanese animation is infamous for being weird and super-edgy, but Cells At Work!! proves that imagination needs no boundaries. The show is the perfect example of combining science and entertainment in a cute and adorable manner. The show is suitable for any and every kind of audience and gives a new perspective into human biology through our body cells’ eyes.

Boruto’s Main Villain Might Follow The Redemption Route From Naruto
Throughout Naruto, the act of retribution inundated its characters into believing what’s right and what’s wrong. No matter how big of a villain someone is, of course, we are excluding Madara Uchiha; most of Naruto’s antagonists wanted peace and redemption from the very start.
As we see with Nagato Uzumaki, Itachi Uchiha, and Sasuke Uchiha, the act of redemption is something that caused these characters to go insane and seek out the truth even if it means killing their friends and clans for it.
While Sasuke and Orochimaru came back as the hero, Boruto’s arch-enemy, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, might be the next great villain to seek peace within the two worlds.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was the first god-like entity who ate the fruit from the God Tree, harnessing the powers of Chakra for the first time. Over several millennia, she became the top-dog of the Kaguya clan, with members hailing from the other family trees to join her god-like status. While she was, technically, not the actual antagonist of the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden series, Kaguya Ōtsutsuk became the central villain and the most feared entity in the Boruto universe.
In chapter 460 of Naruto: Shippūden, Sasuke, and Naruto fight with Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and somehow manage to seal her away because killing her is impossible. Using the Six Paths Sage, the seal was established, and Kaguya was segregated into a confinement zone.
Even though all Kaguya Ōtsutsuki wanted was peace and love to flourish the planet, several wars and her clan members made her return in her godly form. While Boruto is still young and he sees Kaguya as a threat to humanity, deep down in her heart, Kaguya still yearns for peace in the world she created with her hand.
In Boruto, the Kaguya clan members keep popping up on earth to get their hands on whatever exists in the Ninja world. While Isshiki Ōtsutsuki was defeated several times, there is no way to kill him in existence. Kaguya came on the earth as a celestial being, planted the God Tree, shared Chakra with other humans, and even had kids, but other Kaguya clan members had more sinister goals like feeding the humans to the God Tree and Ten-Tails Beast.
However, her love and care for the planet fluctuated when the great war broke out, and with no other reason to stay on earth, Kaguya punished humanity for their sins. She even brought her sons Hagoromo and Hamura to feel her wrath as the goddess of the universe.
But Boruto’s universe is a little better now, and heroes and even the villains have cooled down and learned to live in harmony. Maybe Boruto has reached its goal of creating a peaceful world with other clans existing in the same place. And now, there is a possibility of Kaguya returning to her former self, and maybe she reached her goal of adoring the world she created thousands of years ago.
Conclusion
While Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s plan of leaving the shinobi world for the better, her clan members keep influencing the peace, and maybe she might team with the humans to bring justice to the world she created. It is worth noting that Kaguya hated her clan and the powers they had. Even though she is a celestial being, her powers are nowhere near that of other creatures in her clan who are equally daunting and hungry, just like her arch-enemy and ex-husband -Isshiki Ōtsutsuki.

Why Didn’t Thor Wear the “Infinity Gauntlet” in the Ending of the Film “Avengers: Endgame”?
There is obviously a spoiler ahead.
A new theory has offered the reason why God of Thunder “Thor” opted not to wear the infamous “Infinity Gauntlet.” Such was the creation of Marvel that fans are still making theories about “Avengers: Endgame” almost two years after its well-fabled release in 2019. And one of the theories that they have been making is regarding Joe and Anthony Russo’s decision not to let God of Thunder “Thor” lift the Infinity gauntlet.
If you have watched the film, you would know that it was Tony Stark who ultimately wielded the Infinity gauntlet and put Thanos down to save the world.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Phase 4 plans for Marvel Cinematic Universe are now under motion with the release of “WandaVision” on Disney+ on January the 15th. It was expected that Black Widow would be the one to break the ice; however, the pandemic and the lockdown did not let it happen. Nevertheless, it has led some fans to head over to the old films and watch some scenes again and again.
Some fans have watched a scene in the film “Avengers: Endgame,” which has made them question something. You do remember that there was debate among the Avengers in the film about who should be the one to wear the Infinity gauntlet. Right? The scene happened in the aftermath of Avengers’ great attempt to collect infinity stones from other timelines, which ultimately led to the tragic death of Black Widow.
Then, a debate happened between all the members of the Avengers about who should be the one to put his or her life on the line to wield the gauntlet in order to reverse the calamity. Thor, of course, was one of the Avengers who thought he should be the one to wield the gauntlet.
However, he didn’t, and now fans are wondering why.
A theory from one of the fans of the film has offered a reason for this. The theory suggests that the reason Thor did not lift the gauntlet is that he felt enormous guilt over the fact that he was unable to kill Thanos and could not save the realms he was sworn to protect.
In the film, it was Hulk (aka Bruce Banner) who ultimately stepped up to wield the gauntlet. He gave the reason for that since Thanos almost died after the snap, he should be the one to wield it because he is a very difficult man to kill.
The Hulk wielded it because he thought he was made for exactly this job.
Another fan named J.E. Taylor has said on Quora that due to Thor’s unfit nature of body and mind, he wouldn’t have been able to handle the power of it. There is no doubt that Thor, at the peak of his powers, could very well lift the gauntlet without any noticeable damage.
Another fan has suggested that even if Thor is on the verge of dying, all he needs to do is wield his hammer (be it Mjolnir or Stormbreaker) to feel normal again. A similar case was seen in the film “Avengers: Infinity War” when he forged his Stormbreaker sword at the star in Nidavellir.
The next time we will see Thor will be the mega-budgeted 2022 tentpole “Thor: Love and Thunder,” which will be released in the year 2022.
