A little over 15yrs ago my son brought a little fur baby home and he became a big part of our family. Since then he had become my best friend and buddy, last night about 2:30 he went to sleep and we lost him. My wife and I were with him as we had him in his favorite easy chair wrapped in his favorite blanket while we petted and told him how much we loved him he closed his eyes and was gone.
Not sure I've ever experienced this much grief but with the kids grown and gone he was a huge part of my life and it'll take time to get use to no 2 am walks, sharing a little of my supper with him as he sat there waiting for his share or throwing his chew toy to fetch...I've always called him a pain in the butt but he was my little pain in the butt and I'll never forget him....
