A few years back I wrote an article about THE GOOD HUMOR trucks - In the article I was warning parents to be careful about these trucks. (I wrote the article on another platform).
I remember as a young kid - running out into the street-- you would always hear the truck a mile away...... You would scream: MA- THE ICE CREAM TRUCK IS COMING !!- THE ICE CREAM TRUCK IS COMING !!!...The kids in the neighborhood wood run to the truck - most with no parents insight......
Back then - it wasn't unusual for parents to throw down a few quarters and walk away......
After opening my eyes - I used to watch these creepy looking guys in the trucks- sometimes their was two of them - one driving and the other scooping...... I saw many parents allow their children to run to the trucks with their dollars waving in the air.... not really paying attention.
I am pretty sure we can say today - that these trucks were literally like the old fashioned "Dog Catchers" - SWOOP up your kid - just like that. What kid wouldn't want to go inside of an ice cream truck ????
The PEDO symbols are EVERYWHERE....... I see them in the Food Markets and on children clothing (Walmart, Target etc).
I hope many understand that our world will never be the same--- I cringe when I hear people say "I can't wait until things get back to normal!!"....... NORMAL???? - It never was NORMAL... and once you KNOW - you can NEVER GO BACK TO IT!!!
