You see this little restaurant right here! It has been part of the Downtown Birmingham scene for some time now. It has been awarded time and time again as one of the top food destinations in the city. This store plus the El Conquistador food truck not only feeds paying repeat dedicated customers but is also a ministry to the homeless and to help those recovering from addictions. During this pandemic the store has been closed, but the food truck has been rolling all over the city to feed first responders and Frontline workers.
The owners of this establishment are hard working God fearing people the truly do His work. You have no money for lunch...they will feed you. You have no way to get there...they bring it to you. They each have come from places in their lives from which they had demons to overcome. From ZERO they have built their lives.
This is the source for income for this family. They support 4 kids from the income from this restaurant. This restaurant was severely damaged in the riots and looting that have spilled over from Minneapolis. Thankfully they still have the food truck and I'm sure will continue to serve as they have with faith in God to see them thru. How do I know these things about this family? Its my sister and my Brother in law.
Tell me again about how these riots and the looting is a justified response.
