She is the secretary of Education and was nominated by #45 November 23rd 2016. Of course the "D's" had STRONG opposition... January 31st the Senate Committee on health, Education, labor and Pensions approved her nomination on a party line vote. Sending her nomination to the Senate floor.
On February 7 2017 she was confirmed by the Senate by a 50-51 margin. Guess who was the tie breaking vote? VP Pence was! Making it the 1st time in US history that a Cabinet nominees confirmation was decided by a VP's tie breaking vote.
Now here's were it gets real interesting! Who is Betsy DeVos brother? Erik Prince is. Who is he? He is the man that founded the Blackwater firm! Im still doing some digging on this and what happened. But look into Drop 224 if your really interested ๐๐
These are all facts that I've looked into and confirmed. As I said I'm still digging into Erik Prince and the Nisour Square incident. But IMO #45 wouldn't have pardoned them without good cause. Feel free to add information!
