Even if you are never required to lay down your physical life for Christ, you will be required to lay down your way of life. Daily you will have to choose between the way of the world and the will of God, between your self-interests and the cause of Christ. Much anxiety and indecision can be avoided by simply pledging your highest allegiance, your highest loyalty to God here and now. Having done that many of these lesser, daily, decisions will take care of themselves.

Lord Jesus, give me the courage to declare my allegiance to You no matter the cost. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
