Cancer-smashing "SUGAR BOMB" kills cells "within seconds" - Scottish study
Scientists in Scotland claim to have invented an explosive drug that weaponizes oxygen in tumor cells to kill them within SECONDS.
The new sugar-heavy drug feeds cancerous cells, before being triggered by light - cutting out the need for chemotherapy.
So far it has only been used on glioblastoma - the most common form of brain cancer - but scientists at Edinburgh university are adapting the method to target fat or protein-hungry cancers.
