The season of repentance; Teshuvah!
I have included the birth name of our Messiah, Eashu, as He was named in His native Aramaic language.
•When Noah entered the ark, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Cleansing of sins on the earth.
•When Moses was on the mountain with our Heavenly Father, he was there 40 days and 40 nights praying and fasting for the multitude.
• When Jonah (Yonah) entered Nineveh he cried unto the city to repent or it would be destroyed in 40 days. The king and all the people put on sackcloth and ashes and prayed and fasted for 40 days for repentance.
• When Yahusha (Eashu) was
baptized, the Spirit led him into the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. He was praying and fasting. During that time, the Angels ministered to him.
What do all these events have in common? They all are a seasonal event that begins on the 1st day of the 6th scriptural month and lasts to the 10th day of the 7th month; the day of atonement. The day of atonement is the only day, each year, that the high priest was allowed to enter into the Holy of Holies in the temple. They entered to pray for atonement of sins of the people. It is called Teshuvah.
Teshuvah means to turn to our Heavenly Father. To be repentant of our sins and turn away from a sinful life.
Our Messiah was without sin. He showed how to rebuke satan with the Word. He was our role model. He is our High Priest. On the day of atonement He will intercede on our behalf, for remission of our sins.
We, mankind, must heed this message of Teshuvah; Repentance and turning to our Heavenly Father in obedience to His commands.
If one seeks to know and understand how to do these things, one must earnestly seek our Heavenly Father, through our Messiah, Yahusha (Eashu). He is the door to our Heavenly Father. He is the Way, the truth and the Life. No one may come to the Father except through the Son of the Father, Yahusha ( Eashu).
Turn to Him today. Perform your Teshuvah. Come to the throne in repentance and have your stoney heart made into flesh. Have your body, mind and spirit renewed in the newness of Life!
Today is the 1st day, new moon, of the 6th scriptural month. (08/08/21) This day begins the 40 days of Teshuvah!
May you be blessed in your desire for truth and eternal salvation, in the name of EASHU (Yahusha).
With great love, Kathleen.
