Canadian Military Vehicles are on the Move
Approximately 150 vehicles will be moving autonomously and on flatbeds from the 2nd Canadian Division Support Base Valcartier, in the Quebec City area, to the U.S. Army installation Fort Polk in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, U.S. The vehicles could be seen on the road starting November 22.
Once they arrive at their final destination, the vehicles will be used to train approximately 575 soldiers, mostly from 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (5 CMBG), who will take part in Exercise JRTC 23-03, starting in early January. The training of 5 CMBG soldiers at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) will allow them to complete their Enhanced Combat Skills (ECS) training.
At the end of their training period, starting at the beginning of February, vehicles will gradually return to the 2nd Canadian Division Support Base Valcartier.
