In alchemy, there is a saying, "As above, so below". There is a war in the aethers just as there are wars on Earth. As we're watching different factions attack each other here on our planet, the same is true up above as the galactic wars play out.
There are benevolent and malevolent forces who have an interest in us and our planet. The benevolent ones are some of our galactic families who are protecting their relatives and family (us) while the malevolent ones are the ones who are harvesting humans for experiments and using our planet's resources for their own interests.
