Hey everyone! I've been gone for a bit dealing with some personal issues but since I am here, I would like to leave this here.
I am raising funds to speed up my citizenship paperwork before the price goes up again. It happened way too many times. I am a legal immigrant with a green card holder so once I process my N400 paperwork, it should not be too long. I am hoping to start my master's degree in Forensic Psychology soon but that decision would only move forward if I am a citizen since most jobs in that field requires me to be a citizen. I have a bachelors degree in Criminology and I feel like it's been a waste since 2012 because foreign nationals cannot work for the Federal Government anymore.
I was also a refugee from a country that was hit with genocide in the 70's so I do know first hand what socialism can do and I want to continue to educate the country about it. My dad always tells me to never fall into temptation. Socialism is about romanticizing but love is never forever.
When I started this GoFundme, it was only because my friends told me that I should do this since there were so many coalitions on GoFundme creating funds for illegal immigrants where they raised over $17k. I applaud them but what about the legal immigrants who have been doing things the right way? I contacted a bunch of pro-immigration groups who told me that I wasn't the right client for them. They're looking to only help immigrants with family units and do not speak English. I can't even tell you how hard I laugh at that.
