Regarding a militia, cyber or otherwise:
Not sure how many patriots here are into scripture, but I want to offer a reflection on something that scripture points to but which may not be instantly obvious.
We know from scripture that the Creator gave a commandment to the first ancestors: Adam & Eve.
Gen 3:2
And the LORD God commanded him, “You may eat freely from every tree of the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”
Let's consider logically what this means.
Firstly, logically, it means that Adam and Eve had a choice. They could choose to embrace and obey that command, or they could choose to disobey and reject it.
Secondly, logically, it means that they had a responsibility. Choice means a responsibility - to make a good or ethical choice, or to make a bad, unethical choice.
Thirdly, logically, because the Creator is our loving Father, he only does actions and make decisions that are ultimately for our individual benefit and the benefit of all. So the commandment was not a trap or a test, but an instruction on what to do when faced with an inevitable choice.
So, if A&E had choice, and responsibility, and the Father empowered them by guiding them to make a good choice, it means that the Creator trusted them with self-governance.
Animals, other creatures, do not have the power of self governance. They are guided and controlled by God's natural laws. But humanity live within both natural law, through our bodies, and responsibility and choice, through our hearts and spirits.
The fact that God gave Adam and Eve a commandment indicates that he wanted them to grow and learn how to govern themselves, even in the face of temptations that would inevitably arise.
Having freedom inherently means we are responsible for self-governance. And this is why the only form of government that complies with God's purpose and law is self-governance, where the citizens are guided and informed by truth, conscience, and true, unselfish love.
Thus, Christ's kingdom, when it comes to earth, will be one where Christ rules not through force, or control, or deceit, but by truth, moving people's hearts to respond in love and goodness. And as heirs to Christ, we shall be required to govern ourselves, as individuals, in our families, and in our nations, with Christ as King.
The keypoint here, however, is that freedom means responsibility and the responsibility that we have is essentially wise, good self-governance.
The idea of a militia that defends its own, voluntarily, ethically, based on truth and righteousness, is the natural result of practicing responsible self-governance. If we are responsible to govern ourselves, we are responsible to defend ourselves.
From this viewpoint, the fact that Kobayashi has designed this platform so that all members of the community have the power and ability to directly keep trolls, shills and those of ill-intent in check (via the TG1TGA button) means that we are also empowered with self-governance here.
It will not be administrators or moderators that govern us, but we ourselves.
This is not only a powerful idea, but a Heavenly idea. So yes, we have freedom, but we also have responsibility and a duty to good self-governance. Let's use this freedom wisely.
For me, that's the ethical concept behind building a cyber-militia.
