The text asks Australian men to 'keep that promise' to send an additional 50,000 reinforcements to Britain's aid. It is intended to appeal to Australians' loyalty to the Mother Country, but also implies that honour is involved in keeping a promise.

Norman Lindsay created the image for this recruitment poster, issued by the Director-General of Recruiting at Victoria Barracks. It shows a classical 'Australia', unarmed and with no head covering to emphasise her vulnerability. Her open hands indicate serried ranks of infantry, who extend as far as the eye can see, as she entreats the reader, 'Will You Join them'. The flag carried at the head of the troops is the Australian Red Ensign.
The poster includes detailed information about enlistment, including rates of pay, which ranged from 6 shillings per day (once embarked on overseas service) for a private, to 21 shillings per day for a Lieutenant. An additional 'separation' allowance was paid to men earning less than 10 shillings per day, at the rate of two shillings per day for a wife and sixpence per day for each child.

G'day to all who see this, I'm trying out this new platform, dunno how it's going, pretty slow so far, difficulty uploading pictures and I haven't seen a community I'm looking for, I like Cars & Motorbikes, Hunting and Dogs, I work in the building industry and I have very strong opinions that often offend progressive sensibilities. I'll try and keep it slur free but don't follow me if you're a PETA supporter, feminist or some sort of left activist because you'll only be here to troll. I have three sons in the ADF and I'm fiercely loyal to my folk and nation, I despise seeing Australia's heritage and traditions attacked by the children of the people who built the nation and others who come and try and impose their way of life on us and demand we tolerate it. I'm not going to respect your pronouns, if you have to tell me what they are I don't want to talk to you at all. I have 5 sons and 2 daughters, 3 marriages, I am remarried to my second wife. We have 2 boys left at home. I have 4 grandchildren 2 boys and 2 girls. I am an ex-con but that was 30 years ago, another century.
Politically, when it comes to social issues, like lgbtp rights, women's lib, and non-white immigration, I'm far right. I do believe in national service and the right to bear arms. I'm not sold on capitalism or having a super-rich corrupt elite based on commerce who can sway, bribe and interfere with sovereign nations. I still see Trump as part of that corrupt elite despite being POTUS. I thinks he's fooled the white working class but I don't blame Trump supporters because god knows their hearts are in the right place, I just don't think he's good enough for the job, America deserves better. I also have a good respect for the environment, it's finite and shouldn't be poisoned by lazy corporations or destroyed for quick profit that's often not seen by the land's people.
So I don't know how long i'll last, I'll probably get voted off the platform by SJW's AND Trumpists
