So, I work in a pharmacy which is currently having to deal with a huge rise in customers - patients wanting advice, ordering meds early, older people needing deliveries etc. My company cut staff hours and we are really struggling to cope. We have been sent packs containing masks, aprons & gloves which have only to be used in an emergency. If one of us has to self isolate or go home to look after their children our store won’t be able to cope at all. If there is such a huge risk, why aren’t staff in all types of public facing roles being given protection? Current advice from my employer is if we start showing symptoms at work we’ve to carry on working ? I’m personally just taking it in my stride because I know this storm will pass, but I can’t explain that to my colleagues. It’s all the extra stress and pressure that I can’t stand, every day is a challenge and I want to tell all the idiots who are piling in to our small store to f*** off home & stop wasting our time.
