I worked in the tech industry from early 20s until I was about 45, then I stopped getting calls back on the contracts I applied for.
Their usual excuse is:
"We found someone more qualified."
Which usually means they found someone that will work for cheaper.
I trained my H1-B replacements. If these foreigners are so skilled, why do we have to teach them?! The H1-B visa system is abused by the tech industry. High-paying jobs should be for American Citizens.
