I am back in Boise, Idaho now. Here's my feet in the street perspective of my trip to DC. Many are saying there were over 1 million people attending the rally yesterday. I'm not sure of the exact head count but there were more people in one spot than I had seen in my lifetime. These people were from all walks of life, every color, creed, old and young. The day started early around 7am when the gates opened. It was a very happy and joyful day throughout the rally. People were in great spirits, helping each other, singing Patriotic songs, listening to speeches and music. Around 1:30pm after President Trump finished his speech, the rally marched down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capitol. This had been the plan all month. The goal was to set up in the parks around the Capitol and await the findings of the Electoral votes. Many had already left, including myself when the shenanigans started. There are quite a few saying it was Antifa and far right thugs that stormed the Capitol. I will say that these weren't the people I saw at the rally yesterday. Most people I talked to from the rally were as disgusted as everyone about what had happened.
I'm not here to defend or argue a point. I'm giving my perspective from someone that was on the ground and overall my perspective were that the majority of people during the day were decent citizens like you and I. What happened next is all up to interpretation and perspective but I ask you this...How was one of the most secure buildings in the world, on a day every single high-value VIP in Government was convening inside it and knowing a huge Patriot rally was happening down the street, able to be breached by knuckle dragging half-wit bearded hippies in MAGA hats? Seriously. Think about this. If you take a look at some of the videos from inside the Capitol, there was one sole security guard at the door that many of the rioters came thru. It's almost as if this was a setup. High theater and drama at it's finest. The news of course, blew this all out of proportion.
Whatever your thoughts on this event are, it worked towards creating more division in our country. I'm sure many woke up this morning or went to bed last night hating the "other guys", hating President Trump more. Don't get dragged down in the muck as I say often. What I have seen this last year are two different universes. There are the world on the left that absolutely detests Trump, everything he stands for and his followers. There are the world on the right that absolutely detest Biden and everything he stands for and his followers. These are mutually enraged and hating groups that see in their eyes only what they choose to see. The division is getting deeper and deeper. The country is divided and at a fork in its history. This is not business as usual.
From my perspective and as I have said over the last six months, there is change coming ahead. But not the change many are expecting. It has to be this way. Emotions, tempers, fear, anger is at its peak. It will all be resolved soon and many will understand. It will be done peacefully. Many like myself will be here to help when the literal shit hits the fan. Try to look past the smoke and mirrors and see the bigger picture.
