I have my first visit with the Oncologist today. Please pray for me that she chooses the right course of treatment for me. Won’t be online much today.
So I've had this 'thing' on the tv and, really, they are covering this funeral with more time then they gave to the George HW Bush's funeral. Plus how many states are they carting his body all over to? Again, more than they did for Bush. In the background I have to say I was hearing some really good God music, but then, time for the hating words. Hypocrisy. LOVE and GOD and then hate follows. Are we about done with this now? Or are they going to bury him today and then decide to dig up his body and start this all over again? The gift that keeps on giving...a black man killed by a cop.
Sorry if I'm being cynical here but just spoke with my mom this past weekend about my uncle's funeral that just happened. You know, the uncle that was in a car accident when he was young and wasn't really all there in the head. Didn't mention this, but he ended up moving in with a black woman that pulled him away from his family. Totally got disconnected and the family blamed her, but I'm sure didn't do or say much about it, because, you know, racism. Then when he died, she didn't have the common courtesy to call the family and let them know. Instead he sat in a morgue for two months before anyone found out. She was probably still collecting his government checks and didn't want to let anyone know he was dead for as long as possible.
So watching all of this just angers me. Someone please tell me about white privilege. Someone please tell me how every life is important and matters. Someone please tell me how whites are treated better than blacks. How about that black cop that got killed in all of this? Where is his week coverage on the media about his funeral? ENOUGH ALREADY! I AM GETTING SO SICK OF ALL OF THIS BULLSHIT!!! I bet Martin Luther King didn't get this much coverage for his funeral when he died. All this funeral is for, is to raise the level of anger in the black community even more. Let the protests continue. The RAGE has been watered today. I'm sure it has only grown bigger now. Time for some more looting, burning and killing to honor this guy.
