- Try turning off your Orbi router and computer or device, and then turn them back on. If you are still having trouble updating your Orbi router's firmware, try the following steps: Unplug Orbi router's power cord from the electrical outlet. Wait at least 10 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and wait for the Power LED to turn solid green. Unplug Orbi router's power cord from the electrical outlet. Wait at least 10 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and wait for the Power LED to turn solid orange.
