Time Stood Still

Joshua prayed and time stood still,
Hezekiah prayed and time was set back,
Physics as I see it in the hands of God.
The day He was born the Angels sang,
A heavenly choir overlooking Bethlehem,
The city where our Savior was born.
He lived not as a king in a palace on high,
A scepter in His hand and a crown to wear,
No, He was a carpenter’s son, a laborer,
In Nazareth, ‘from which no good could come’.
So, “He was despised, and rejected by men,
A man of suffering, and acquainted with disease,
And as one from whom men hide their face,
He was despised and we did not respect him.”
Then came the day when Heaven stood still,
In the hallways of time has this never been.
Yet, on that very day the divide between God,
And men, was rent, divided and opened wide.
For that day the Son of God, the King of Kings,
Was crowned for all of eternity by humanity.
A crown of thorns, a cross of wood His throne,
Even a scepter to show His place with humanity.
He was hated, “But He has borne our sickness,
And He carried our suffering,” He did this for us,
“Yet we considered Him plagued, struck by God.
But He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities, [forsaken by all].
The punishment that brought our shalom was on Him.
And by his wounds we are healed”. He is the Healer,
Today, time stand still this very moment waiting,
For you to turn your life over to Him, now is the time.
