(Sent to the President)
Dear Mr President,
In regards to Congress changing the Social Security promise you made us, in this Big Beautiful Bill: NO!! You don't get it! Most of us on Social Security do not even make enough right now to even owe taxes. More deductions means NOTHING to us in this situation. That gives us NO HELP AT ALL!!! We need a bill that says NO taxes on Social Security, AS WELL AS a large RAISE (by at least $1000 each) for Seniors who are losing their homes in this economy. Homeowners' taxes and Insurance are about to go up AGAIN (after doubling last year) They are deliberately driving us out of our homes!! PLEASE HELP US SIR!!!! Why are we having to basically pay rent to the govt (via taxes) to live in our own homes??? We are on FIXED incomes! It is CRIMINAL! (PLease also Do Away with Property taxes after someone turns 65!!) DO> NOT> EVEN>THINK that us Seniors are going to come out and even vote in the midterms if Congress ignores our needs Now. Congress had BETTER pass a separate bill for Senior citizens BEFORE the Mid terms or be WELL ASSURED you will NEVER again see us at the polls.....WE ARE DONE!!! Republicans have led us along for years. It is time for Congress to finally come through for us or Congress can be guaranteed that the Democrats WILL reverse them in the midterms.... Do NOT settle for what this BBBill offers us. INSIST that Seniors finally be given some REAL Help. When we lose our homes, the GOVERNMENT has to house us--which runs up your budget. Let us stay in our homes Tax Free. AND ALSO we need an END to MANDATORY Insurance. (Over and above what is actually still owed on the property) The Insurance industry needs to finally get some regulations on them. They are destroying our country. You give us breaks to help us, and they raise our rates and take away the benefit you tried to give us. REGULATE THEM!! Make Insurance OPTIONAL above what is still owed on our homes!!! (It will make it much more competitive and will drive their prices DOWN...)
Thank you for your love of our nation and your sacrifices for us.
